The Haverhill Freemasons of Saggahew Lodge will be joining up with Haverhill’s Brightside in support of their annual city-wide Earth Day Cleanup. We have signed up to clean up the area on Bailey Boulevard (behind the Lodge and in front of the Haverhill Police Station) between 8:30-11am. “This is a great opportunity to contribute to our community and spread awareness of our Fraternity, and just one of the ways that Masons can help support the communities in which they live,” said Daniel Burns, the current Master of the lodge. After the clean-up, from 11am – 1pm, the public will be invited to stop by our lodge building where will be distributing White Spruce saplings to anyone who stops by.
The Evergreen, or sprig of acacia, represents the steadfast belief of Freemasons in the immortality of the soul; and the hope that their benevolent actions outlive them to continue a legacy of Brotherly Love, Tolerance, and Moral Character long into the future.
